1. What does IELTS stand for?
IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System.

2. How many sections are there in IELTS?
There are 4 sections in IELTS including:
i.    Reading
ii.    Writing
iii.    Listening
iv.    Speaking

3.  Who conducts IELTS test?
In Nepal, the British Council and IDP run the test.

4. Who are eligible for IELTS test?
Students from age group 16 and above who are planning to study or work in a foreign country where English is not the native language can take IELTS for higher education.

5. How much does it cost to book the test?
The cost of booking an IELTS test differs based on paper and computer test.
As of now, Paper Based IELTS – (Academic and General Training) costs NPR.   25,300.00. Whereas, Computer Based IELTS -(Academic and General Training) costs NPR.   23,650.00

6. What is the duration of IELTS test?
The test lasts 2 hours and 45 minutes. The time is divided among the four sections. 

7. What is the validation period for an IELTS test?
Once the test is taken, the result is valid for 2 years.

8. How can I prepare for the IELTS test?
You can prepare IELTS in a variety of ways including finding study materials on the internet, purchasing books, visiting the British Council Library, or by joining best educational consultancies near you like Access Education Network. 

9. How do I sign up for IELTS?
You can sign up and pay online, or can print the application form and take it to your nearest test center with a valid passport. For easy and smooth date bookings you can contact Access Education Network. Make sure to take your valid passport along with you to the test center.

10. Is the IELTS computer-based test available in Nepal?
Yes, good news for computer friendly students, the computer-based IELTS test is now available in Nepal.

11. Is IELTS fee refundable if students decide to cancel the test date?
There is no full fee refund policy when it comes to IELTS. If an applicant wants to cancel his or her test five weeks before the actual test date, they are eligible for a refund of 75% as an administrative charge of 25% will be deducted. It might take up to 6 weeks to get back the refund amount.


12. What is the reschedule policy for IELTS test?
Applicants can reschedule their test dates. However, they are liable to pay 25% of the total test fee.

 13. How many times can I sit for the IELTS?
There is no limit to the number of times you can take IELTS.
